Getting Ready for the Big One -- Being `Ready` in Earthquake Country
Topic
What does it really mean to `be ready` for the big one, for a power outage or for that matter a pandemic? California, and in particular the Bay Area, is fortunate to have companies who take the four hallmarks of emergency management very seriously - those of course are mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Attend this SF Ready session and learn what the components of a well-developed company plan are and how to help your business recover from our next earthquake and possibly more.
Speakers
Michael Cummings, with EMS Solutions, will provide the backdrop and context for the conversation by exploring key plan characteristics including emergency response, disaster recovery, business continuity and crisis communications.
Liz Granger and Cormac Gilligan with Visa International will discuss how they have built their plan, the trials and tribulations and suggestions for you going forward.
The time is 12:00 -1:30. The date is Tuesday, April 17, 2007. The round-table is free. Bring your lunch if you like. There is no need to pre-register.
