Dear Business Colleague,
I invite you to participate in SF Ready's series of free noontime roundtable presentations on disaster preparedness and emergency response topics of interest to business leaders and emergency management professionals in San Francisco. Please note that the location of these roundtables is once again at the Federal Reserve Bank.
For the past 10 years, SF Ready has provided valuable and timely information and resources to small and large businesses in San Francisco. The SF Ready roundtable series is a collaborative effort of the Department of Emergency Management, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and a group of concerned San Francisco companies.
SF Ready's leadership team meets regularly to plan and manage these exciting events, and this year's series will be timely and informative. Roundtable topics scheduled for 2008 include:
February 14 Learning from, and working with public and private sector professionals to facilitate rapid response to a heart attack victim in the workplace.
April 3 Scientific earthquake research, projections, and risk probability information that will assist SF business planning, response and recovery.
June 11 Preview the latest community emergency planning initiatives developed by SF's Department of Emergency Management and how these can enhance your operations.
August 13 The latest information and resources regarding SF local pandemic planning. What can business do? What should business do?
October 8 Regional emergency decisions will effect San Francisco . How SF business and employees can be prepared to be "on our own" for at least 3 days.
December 10 Resolve to be prepared for 2009. The why and how of compliance with the latest laws and regulatory guidance impacting the workplace.
These roundtables are free of charge and will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM at the Federal Reserve Bank at 101 Market Street. There is no need to RSVP. Bring your lunch if you'd like.
